LOVE LOUDWATER - BOX OF HOPE VOLUNTEER APPEAL

As a church we are committed to Love God and Love Loudwater.
Below are ways in which you can get involved to Love Loudwater:

Box of Hope
As part of Love Loudwater we are working with Loudwater School to support local families during this current lockdown.
We will be providing Box of Hope food parcels to families during the school term, and through February half-term and the Easter holidays.

We need YOUR help to make this happen!

From Friday 12th February 2021 we will need volunteers to help on the following days, in the following ways:

Friday mornings (12th Feb - 16th Apr) - 60-90mins
  • 1 x site co-ordinator
  • 1 x shopper
  • 1 x van driver (or 2 x drivers)
  • 2 x movers & unpackers to unload goods onsite
  • 2 x packers

Saturday mornings (13th Feb - 17th Apr) - 60-120mins
  • 1 x site co-ordinator
  • 2 x packers
  • 2 x movers
  • 5 x pairs of delivery drivers

Support will be scheduled and rotated through lockdown so you won't be committed every week and if you are only available on one or two of the days in this period, we would encourage you to volunteer if you feel able to do so.

COVID security is of utmost importance and all necessary measures will be in place to minise risk and keep our volunteers and the families we are supporting safe.
Please do not volunteer if you are vulnerable or have been advised to isolate.

If you would like to get involved by baking cakes or biscuits for families for the February half term and/or Easter holidays, that would also be appreciated!  We have a list of set recipes to use - please get in touch so we can share these with you.

If you are able to offer practical help, please email love@loudwater.org to confirm how you would like to get involved

One Can Trust

As a church family we are continuing to support the One Can Trust charity as they provide for families in need.  If you would like to get involved you can help in the following ways;
If you are able to help and would like to get involved with any of the above, please call 01628 308372 or email love@loudwater.org

Planning your Visit

new to church website

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like right now, we’d love to welcome you to St Peter’s. Everyone’s invited. We meet for our Sunday service at 10am, here’s what to expect when you come:

Most of us hesitate before walking into a place full of strangers, but don't panic – you will be welcome and there's no need to take part in anything you’re not comfortable with. We all come as we are, so there's no need to dress up - wear something that makes you feel comfortable. Due to Covid-19 you will need to ensure you have a mask, unless you are exempt, and hand gel will be available on entry.

Where and When

We meet in the main Church building on the corner of Treadaway Hill and Kingsmead Road at 10am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team, if you're unsure where to sit then our team will help you to a seat, while social distancing measures are in place our seating configuration is different to usual to ensure everyone is at a safe distance.

Plan your journey:
Our car park is quite small and on Sundays it's reserved for those who have mobility difficulties and first time guests. Additional parking is available on the Treadaway Estate opposite the church car park entrance. When making use of the parking on the business estate please only park alongside the fence-line parallel to the businesses. If parking on surrounding residential streets please be considerate as we want to be good neighbours.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Service

Our 10am service is an informal service of contemporary worship for all the family. The service begins with a time of worship. Each week we hear a relevant message from the Bible and take time to pray together and respond to what God is saying and doing as we worship. We share in Holy Communion together every week.

What about my kids?

We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages at St Peter's Kids:

  • The Ark (0 months to 3 years) - children using The Ark will need to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
  • Little Lions (3-5 years)
  • All Stars (5-10 years)
  • St Peter's Youth (11+ years)

Children need to be registered before 10am, so please make sure you arrive in time to check in your child. Due to COVID-19 restrictions children need to prebook their place and do not come into the main service but go straight to their relevant group. When you arrive onsite please head to the kids check in desk at the entrance to the halls, opposite the church, where our team will be ready to meet you and your child. If you want to know more about our kids groups contact mark@loudwater.org.
