24hr prayer

At St Peter’s we value expectant prayer. We want to begin 2022 by praying expectantly for the upcoming year and all of the ministries and activities at St Peter’s. From Sunday 30th - Monday 31st Jan, we are calling everyone at St Peter’s to join us in a time of prayer and fasting.

Kicking off the 24hours will be a prayer and worship night in church from 6-7pm on Sunday 30th January. Come and join us as we pray together for our vision and all that’s to come in 2022.

The remaining 23hours are open for people to sign up to commit to praying for 1 hour. You could pray alone or with others; at home, walking the parish, on zoom or come and pray in the prayer room in the Old Vicarage (while it is open, Monday 9:30-14:30).

Sign up here to commit to your hour! The number of people praying each hour is limitless so more than one person can sign up per hour. Alternatively email alison@loudwater.org

For those that wish to, we are also encouraging people to fast for 24hours. That could be fasting from food or something else such as watching TV or scrolling through social media! Use the time you would normally spend eating, or watching TV etc to pray for St Peter’s.

We’ll have prayer guides available to help you pray for your hour.

Join us in praying expectantly!

Planning your Visit

new to church website

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like right now, we’d love to welcome you to St Peter’s. Everyone’s invited. We meet for our Sunday service at 10am, here’s what to expect when you come:

Most of us hesitate before walking into a place full of strangers, but don't panic – you will be welcome and there's no need to take part in anything you’re not comfortable with. We all come as we are, so there's no need to dress up - wear something that makes you feel comfortable.

Where and When

We meet in the main Church building on the corner of Treadaway Hill and Kingsmead Road at 10am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team, if you're unsure where to sit then our team will help you to a seat, while social distancing measures are in place our seating configuration is different to usual to ensure everyone is at a safe distance.

Plan your journey:
Our car park is quite small and on Sundays it's reserved for those who have mobility difficulties and first time guests. Additional parking is available on the Treadaway Estate opposite the church car park entrance. When making use of the parking on the business estate please only park alongside the fence-line parallel to the businesses. If parking on surrounding residential streets please be considerate as we want to be good neighbours.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Service

Our 10am service is an informal service of contemporary worship for all the family. The service begins with a time of worship. Each week we hear a relevant message from the Bible and take time to pray together and respond to what God is saying and doing as we worship. We share in Holy Communion together once a month.

What about my kids?

We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages at St Peter's Kids:

  • The Ark (0 months to 3 years) - children using The Ark will need to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
  • Little Lions (3-5 years)
  • All Stars (5-10 years)
  • St Peter's Youth (11+ years)

Children need to be registered before 10am, so please make sure you arrive in time to check in your child. When you arrive onsite please head to the kids check in desk at the entrance to the halls, opposite the church, where our team will be ready to meet you and your child. If you want to know more about our kids groups contact mark@loudwater.org.
